Pharma solution that automates the medicine delivery process end to end: pharmacists, patients & insurance companies. The software optimizes the logistics of high volume (ie. thousands of prescriptions per batch) medicine delivery for large senior / assisted living homes.
The overall challenge of the platform consists in creating the right automation process that integrates both people & machines in a way that allows bulk processing with minimal human intervention.
BusyMachines teamed up with CareFusion (the company that builds the warehouse robots) to implement the FDC wholesale system that automatically collects patient’s prescriptions from the wholesale order and instructs the robots to execute the appropriate packaging.
For the process automation, BusyMachines is responsible for several specialised tablet web applications that allows the employees of FDC to monitor & direct the automated fulfillment flows. On the wholesale side, the order management happens via a separate web portal.
What we did
BusyMachines worked together with the FDC founders to define the solution objectives & software architecture. We had daily contact, released often & kept all stakeholders involved in product demos every two weeks.
